KALIL WILSON, Tenor, an Oakland native, has sung on a wide variety of stages, from the Metropolitan Opera in New York, to Walt Disney Hall, the Getty Center, and the premiere jazz venues of Los Angeles. He has performed many lead tenor roles and oratorio with the Los Angeles Philharmonic Orchestra, Aspen Music Festival, Oakland East Bay Symphony, California Philharmonic Orchestra, Mendocino Music Festival, Opera UCLA, and the U.C. Berkeley and UCLA Symphony Orchestras. A recent summa cum laude graduate of the Vocal Music and Ethnomusicology Departments at UCLA, where he was a Gluck Foundation fellow, Wilson received early training at the U.C. Berkeley Young Musicians Program and the Oakland Youth Chorus. As a passion, he leads his own music ensemble, performing historic jazz, R&B, and pop standards.
